Night of Champions

For this scene I wanted to capture 3 main elements. I wanted it to feel like Mexico, it had to feel like a celebration just ended and it had to feel like the home of lucha.

When I started blocking out the level, I had in mind that I wanted it to be a level that could fit into a Street Fighter game so It had to capture some of the important elements from those levels. When I broke down some of the levels from SF5, I noticed that the levels were large, they had 3 main focal points at eye level and they were very vibrant. Their levels also try to capture some elements of Capcom's rich gaming history. This environment uses Saturday Night Slam Masters as the backdrop. It helped me build the narrative of the level, give it depth and re-imagine one of my favorite games.

I really loved the way it turned out; it captures so much energy and holds true to the source material. This project put together many of my interests and captured a moment in time.
