Big Apple, 3 a.m.

This was a project that I was sitting on for some time and I'm glad that I was able to finally complete it. Growing up in the 90s, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were everywhere and one of my favourites, growing up. I wanted to interpret the iconic turtle van using real world vehicle references but also looking back at the original toy. It was a good challenge to balance the 'realistic' features with ones that were more exaggerated. I also wanted to stay true to the personality of the 4 turtles and try to imagine how they would put their touch on the van. Mikey has the graffiti and stickers, Donnie has the extra layer of tech, Raph has the extra layer of reinforcement and Leo bring the clarity to the with extra lights. This was definitely the kind of project I seldom do and definitely challenged me at many times. #Cowabunga!
