I looked to games like Sekiro and Ghosts of Tsushima for some of my inspiration when I was building this scene. I wanted something that felt moody and grounded but still had its own identity.
I wanted to work on two main aspects, modularity and zbrush. My goal was to create a modular building kit that could be robust and flexible enough to create many variations. From the roof pieces to the wood planks, everything was made with the intention of kit bashing to get cool and usable buildings. I even went so far as to create the Toros in a way that would allow for them to be kit bashed also to create even more variation with little costs. I also wanted to practice terrain work from the sculpting to the painting and material creation.
I ended up trying a few different lighting setups and color palettes until finding one that fit the environment and the tone I was looking for.
